Coronavirus update: Rekha's bungalow sealed after guard tests positive for COVID-19

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday has sealed veteran actress Rekha's bungalow in Bandra after a security guard posted there tested positive for COVID-19.

The bungalow, Sea Springs, has also been declared a containment zone and municipal staff sanitized the place.

But since the bungalow is a standalone property, no other properties nearby have been affected.

The security guard has been admitted to a municipal COVID-19 care facility in Bandra.

According to a report on the website of The Times of India newspaper, the bungalow normally has two security guards on duty.

Yesterday, actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek also tested positive for COVID-19 and were admitted to the Nanavati hospital in Vile Parle.

Rekha is the latest addition to the list of celebrities whose support staff have been affected by the pandemic. Earlier, producer Boney Kapoor, superstar Aamir Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar had reported staff members being affected by the contagion.
