Koel, her father and veteran actor Ranjit Mallick, her mother and husband Nispal Singh have all been quarantined at home.

Veteran actor Ranjit Mallick, his daughter, actress Koel, and the rest of the family, with the exception of Koel's newborn baby, have tested positive for COVID-19 and been quarantined at home.

Koel tweeted that the entire family, including her husband and producer Nispal Singh and her mother, had tested positive for the disease.

According to a report in The Hindustan Times newspaper, the family members had been experiencing some symptoms such as fever, cold and cough for the past week and hence got themselves tested.

However, since they have all been quarantined at home and not been admitted to hospital, it may be assumed that none of them is seriously ill.

The actress gave birth to a baby boy in May. Fortunately, he has not tested positive.

Koel Mallick's fans on social media sent in prayers for the speedy recovery of the family.
