Street Dancer 3 song 'Illegal Weapon 2.0': Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor engage in an one-upmanship dance

The song composed by Tanshik Bagchi is another remix. Interestingly, Jasmine Sandlas and Garry Sandhu who had sung the original track, have also voiced this new rendition.

After 'Muqabala', the makers of Street Dancer 3 (2020) have now released another dance track 'Illegal Weapon 2.0' which features Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor engage in the dance battle on the streets of London, England. Dhawan and Kapoor had worked together in ABCD 2 (2015), by Remo D'Souza. But unlike ABCD 2, when they were on the same team, this time Dhawan and Kapoor are pitted against each other.

Both Dhawan and Kapoor effortlessly perform the intricate dances by Kruti Mahesh and Rahul Shetty who have choreographed some neat moves for this song. And they are aided by Remo D'Souza' s regular gang Dharmesh Yelande, Salman Khan and Raghav Juyal.

The song is recreated by remix king Tanishk Bagchi and is another take on the Punjabi track of the same name by singers Jasmine Sandlas and Garry Sandhu. This new catchy tune will instantly get stuck in your mind.

Jasmine Sandlas is a quite popular singer in Punjabi pop music and here also, she takes the centrestage with her earthy voice. Sandlas has sung a few songs in Hindi films before; but this could be her breakout song. Garry Sandhu also joins in with his powerful voice. The song gives equal opportunity to both singers to shine and they both make the most of it.

The only negative aspect of the song could be the lyrics by Priya Saraiya. Almost the entire song is in Punjabi and very difficult to understand unless you are well-versed in Punjabi. Having said that 'Illegal Weapon 2.0' definitely has a repeat value, especially if you are into such type of music.

Street Dancer 3 is another dance drama by Remo D'Souza who had earlier made films like ABCD (2013) and ABCD 2 (2015). The film produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Lizelle D'Souza is slated to hit the theatres on 24 January.
