Debaloy Bhattacharya has completed the first leg of shooting for his upcoming film Dracula Sir, starring Mimi Chakraborty and Anirban Bhattacharya. The next leg of shooting will begin on Saturday 1 February.

Dracula Sir features Bhattacharya as the protagonist, a schoolmaster with prominent canine teeth which fuel talk that he is Dracula. The film traces his journey in relation to the rumours. Chakraborty plays his love interest in the past.

“The second leg of the shoot starts from 1 February in and around Kolkata," the maker of Bidaay Byomkesh (2018) and several web-series told The Times of India newspaper. "We were shooting day in and day out without a break. I must say the team is extremely cooperative. They put in their best.”

According to Bhattacharya, both Anirban and Chakraborty were extremely professional on the set. “Both are amazing actors. The way Mimi balanced her political commitments and the film is amazing. She has put in a lot of effort for this film. She plays Anirban’s love interest and we will see her from the time period of 1970. So, Mimi has a lot of look changes in this film.”

He added that Anirban always makes sure to add to a given scene with his own adaptations.

Debaloy Bhattacharya is hopeful that the audience will like the fresh chemistry between the two artistes who will be seen in a film together for the first time.

Dracula Sir also features Bidipta Chakraborty and Rudranil Ghosh in important roles.
