Earlier this month, the makers of Ek Villain announced the sequel to 2014’s superhit romantic drama with a new pair.
The new film led by John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapur now has an official release date. Producer Ekta Kapoor shared the news on her Twitter platform.

The sequel will be directed by Mohit Suri, who also directed Ek Villain (2014) featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor. The 2014 film saw Riteish Deshmukh depart from his usual comic style to play a menacing serial killer.
Mohit Suri is currently busy with the promotions of his revenge drama, Malang, and will start filming Ek Villain 2 in June.
Starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Kunal Kemmu and Anil Kapoor in lead, Malang will be released on 7 February 2020.
