Vidyut Jammwal is known for his acrobatic action scenes and parkour which he does himself without the use of stunt doubles. But this time the actor is trying something different.
Khuda Hafiz, Jammwal's latest project, is being touted as the actor's first tryst with the romantic genre. Though there will be some action scenes — how can there not be with Jammwal in the mix? — Khuda Hafiz will be majorly a romantic drama.
Jammwal is paired with Shivaleeka Oberoi, who made her cinema acting debut last year with the romantic thriller Yeh Saali Aashiqui (2019). Both artistes were spotted recently shooting in Lucknow for a scene that required them to ride a bike outside the famous Clock Tower.
Talking about her experience shooting for Khuda Hafiz, Oberoi said, “It has been a delight shooting in Lucknow! Working with Faruk sir has helped me get into the skin of my character."
The actress also expressed her love for the city and especially the local food. “Vidyut, Faruk sir and I have been bonding over galauti kebabs and shahi tukda," she said. "The food is absolutely delectable in this city and the locations we have shot at are breathtaking, from Rumi Gate and Hazratganj to every nook and cranny of Lucknow."
Vidyut Jammwal did not quite have a 2019 to remember with both his releases, Junglee (2019) and Commando 3 (2019), faring poorly at the box office.
Khuda Hafiz is being directed by Faruk Kabir, who has directed TV shows like Shockers and 377 Ab Normal, a Zee5 Original film.
