Malang song 'Phir Na Milen Kabhi': Aditya Roy Kapur returns as the heartbroken lover with Ankit Tiwari's track

Aditya Roy Kapur might be taking a turn for action in Malang (2020), but the actor's romance continues with the latest song from the film, 'Phir Na Milen Kabhi'.

Composed, and sung, by Ankit Tiwari, the song is quite a melodious addition to the soundtrack, particularly one that teases the heartbreak and perhaps, a twist in the tale. The sight of Disha Patani struggling for life, while Aditya Roy Kapur hopes that she survives, brings back memories of Marjaavaan (2019). 

The song begins with the visual of separation between Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani's characters. While the reason is not yet known, the dialogues preceding the song offer some hint into the rationale. The song tells Kapur's perspective of his feelings, even going to the point of expressing that 'may we never meet again'. 

Although it feels like quite a pessimistic thought, the song is contrastingly sweet. Ankit Tiwari's composition begins with a slow rhythm that soon transforms as soon as the electric guitars and backgrounds kick in. The tempo of the song is pleasant, and with the soulful lyrics and vocals, keeps you glued throughout. There are very little frills added to the song, and the simple nature of its style leaves a mark.
