Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan song ‘Gabru’: Ayushmann Khurrana fights for love in this recreation of Yo Yo Honey Singh’s original

Singer Romy supplies the vocals in this recreation by, you guessed it, Tanishk Bagchi.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Kartik walks into a wedding venue looking sexy as 'AF'. At least, that’s his plan in the first song ‘Gabru’ from Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020). The characters of the film gather at a wedding, where Kartik declares his love for Aman Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar.

His family members are unsure of what to make of it, and Aman’s father (Gajraj Rao) tries to separate the two, leading Aman to kiss Kartik in front of everyone. The Yo Yo Honey Singh has been given the filmi treatment here with singer Romy taking over the vocals from J-Star in the original.

Of course, the remix man Tanishk Bagchi is back at it to update the Punjabi song for the upcoming film. The beats of this recreation are sharper and deeper, and Romy’s vocals suit this update. The song’s updated lyrics by Vayu in ‘Gabru’ take on a stronger meaning here, as Kartik states emphatically, that one can love anyone feels apt for this gay love story.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, directed by Hitesh Kewalya, is due to be released on 21 February. Watch the song and the original below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
