The third poster of Vijay-starrer, Master, was unveiled on the occasion of Republic Day. The poster also revealed the first glimpse of Vijay Sethupathi from the movie.

Going by the poster, the film promises an epic face-off between Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi. Both actors are seen bloodied, screaming at each other with burning rage in the third look.

Last seen playing the villain in Rajinikanth-starrer Petta (2019), this will be Vijay Sethupathi's next big project where he will again be seen essaying the antagonist.

The team has so far completed two schedules of shooting. Recently, the makers shot a major portion of the film in a prison in Shimoga in Karnataka.

Malavika Mohanan, who made her debut in Tamil cinema with Petta (2019), has been signed to play the leading lady. Malavika recently learned parkour as part of the preparation for her role. The film also stars Andrea Jeremiah in a crucial role.

Vijay was last seen in Atlee directed Bigil (2019), in which he played dual roles. He was seen playing father and son, and both the characters were well received by the audiences.

Bigil, which also featured Jackie Shroff and Nayanthara, went on to collect over Rs300 crore at the box-office. It emerged as the highest grossing Tamil film of 2019.

Meanwhile, Vijay is reportedly set to team up with filmmaker Vetrimaaran for his next film. According to reports, Vetrimaaran has already narrated a story to Vijay, who has given verbal approval to the project. If everything goes as planned, the duo might join hands for the first time for Thalapathy 65.

Vijay also has a project with A.R Murugadoss in the pipeline. This film will mark their fourth time reunion after Thuppakki, Kaththi and Sarkar.
