After Aamir Khan's 'request', Bachchan Pandey shifts release date

Akshay Kumar-starrer Bachchan Pandey is set to move from its original release date on Christmas 2020, following a personal request by Aamir Khan. The film was scheduled for a theatrical clash with the Aamir Khan-led Laal Singh Chaddha on the same weekend.
Khan confirmed the news stating that, 'Sometimes all it takes is one conversation.'

Laal Singh Chaddha is an official adaptation of the Tom Hanks blockbuster, Forrest Gump (1994). The film is directed by Advait Chandan, with Atul Kulkarni taking over the screenplay.
There has still been no confirmation whether Bachchan Pandey will release before or after their originally scheduled Christmas weekend release. The film, directed by Farhad Samji, will also feature Kriti Sanon in the lead opposite Akshay Kumar.
Bachchan Pandey is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, while Laal Singh Chaddha is Aamir Khan's home production, alongside Viacom 18 Studios.
