Chhalaang poster: Rajkummar Rao is caught sleeping on the job

This is the fifth time that Rao has collaborated with filmmaker Hansal Mehta.

The pair of director Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao might not have given box office hits. But their collaboration has always been appreciated in films like Shahid (2013), Citylights (2014), Aligarh (2016) and Omerta (2018).

The same is expected with their tie-up in Chhalaang (2020), going by its first poster, although they would be surely hoping for some box office success as well.

The poster has a sweet image of him dozing off on a chair while his students in school uniforms and actress Nushrat Bharucha look at him in exasperation. Rao is caught sleeping on the job, his head on a football. It seems like he is playing a sports teacher in the film.

The Hindi limerick on the wall suggests a battle between education and sports in the school, with the emphasis being given to studies over play. The poster also suggests that this might be Mehta's first light-hearted film.

This is Rao's next film after Shimla Mirchi (2020), which released earlier this month. Mehta's last film was Simran (2017) with Kangana Ranaut.

Chhalaang was earlier titled Turram Khan. It is all set to release on 13 March.
