Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that Tiger Shroff and Jackie Shroff will be seen together on screen for the first time in Baaghi 3 (2020).
The producer confirmed the news in a quote to the daily Mumbai Mirror. The film will also see Shraddha Kapoor and Ankita Lokhande in lead roles.
Tiger has resumed shooting for the action film on 20 January. Mumbai Mirror reported a confirmation from Nadiadwala about Jackie's role in the film. The actor will reportedly go on a five-day schedule. The film went on the floors in September 2019, followed by a long schedule for action sequences in Serbia.
Nadiadwala was quoted as saying, "Everyone has been waiting to see Tiger team up with his hero, father Jackie, since we launched him. There has been plenty of speculation, but no one has been able to bring them together in the last six years as the duo was categorical that they would only share the screen when a film and role merited their presence. [Director] Ahmed [Khan] and I feel the storyline required Jackie to be a part of the film and our visions matched because it’s a pivotal role."
The film is the third part of the action franchise which began in 2016. Directed by Ahmed Khan, Baaghi 3 is set for release on 6 March.
Tiger Shroff is also preparing for the release of his next, Rambo, a remake of the iconic 1982 Sylvester Stallone film, First Blood. The film will be released later this year.
