There are ample opportunities for budding actors and technicians in TV, theatre and cinema. Now with the advent of internet, the opportunities continue to grow, but because of lack of information about the industry and whom to approach, they might miss out on good opportunities. Filmmakers and producers are also on a lookout for new talents in acting and technical departments.

Realizing this problem. actors Shashank Shende, Shantanu Gangane and director Makarand Mane have come together to start a new platform that will bridge the gap between filmmakers and actors. The new academy named Bahurupi Manch, situated in Pune, will have various courses for acting, dancing, music, sound design and photography, and screenplay writing. The acting course is due to begin from February.

The academy was officially inaugurated by popular Marathi actor Amey Wagh yesterday in Pune in the presence of Shende, Mane and Gangane.

Mane said of this new endeavour, "Nowadays there are lot of opportunities in the entertainment medium, but many are simply unaware about it. Our academy will try to bridge this gap. We will also work as casting company and aid producers and directors who are on lookout for a new talent."
