Makeup song ‘Laagena’: Chinmay Udgirkar daydreams about Rinku Rajguru in this romantic number

After 'Julali Gaath Ga', the makers of Makeup (2020) have released another song, 'Laagena'.

Unlike the previous number, this is a song from the male perspective. Chinmay Udgirkar is smitten by Rinku Rajguru and follows her around. He starts daydreaming about her everywhere, even in the hospital where he works as a doctor.

The song has been composed by AV Prafullachandra and has a very refreshing sound. The guitar has been used effectively in the composition.

Sahil Kulkarni, who has sung few romantic songs in Marathi films so far, lends his voice to this track and does a fine job. Vaibhav Deshmukh’s lyrics also serve their purpose. Though the number is not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, it has a peculiar earworm quality.

Makeup is directed by screenwriter Ganesh Pandit. This is his first film as director though he has previously directed plays. Makeup will hit the screens on 7 February 2020.
