Mann Fakiraa teaser: Suvrat Joshi and Sayali Sanjeev are trapped in a loveless mariage

A newly married couple soon realize that they don’t love each other and want a divorce. We have seen this plot in a few Hindi and Marathi films before. Mann Fakiraa is centred on the same plot.

Bhushan (Suvrat Joshi) and Riya (Sayali Sanjeev) have an arranged marriage but soon realize they still have feelings for their exes. Anjali Patil plays Bhushan's ex-girlfriend while Ankit Mohan plays Riya's ex-boyfriend.

The teaser does not reveal much of the story but it does give an indication about the film's tone. It appears that Mann Fakiraa is a romantic comedy about a couple who are unsure what they want from each other and from their relationship.

As we have already mentioned, we have seen such stories in a few films and web-series, but most of those stories were written and directed by male directors. Mann Fakiraa is directed by actress Mrunmayee Deshpande. Given that Marathi cinema does not have too many woman directors, it will be interesting to see this story from a female perspective.
