The team from 83 is slowly beginning to come into shape. The latest arrivals are Balwinder Singh Sandhu and Syed Kirmani, two key players of the team that won India's first cricket World Cup in 1983.
While Sahil Khattar's look as wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani came out on Sunday, 19 January, Ammy Virk's appearance as Balwinder Singh Sandhu was released the next day.
Whoever coined the phrase"Catches win Matches"was obviously looking at the Super athletic diving away to glory. It's also said "Is it a bird? Is it a Plane? No,It's Syed Kirmani!!!"@RanveerOfficial @issahilkhattar @kabirkhankk @Shibasishsarkar @madmantena @vishinduri @83thefilm pic.twitter.com/I6sC4B2EqG

Khattar looks every bit the popular wicketkeeper as he prepares to pouch another catch. Kirmani was a key cog in the team, contributing with both his keeping skills and his batting.
In the first round match against Zimbabwe, Kirmani set a record by taking three catches and effecting two stumpings. The same match saw him team up with skipper Kapil Dev, who scored his iconic 175 at Tunbridge Wells, to make 24 runs in a key unbeaten ninth-wicket partnership of 126. The partnership helped India to fight back and beat Zimbabwe and continue their run in the tournament.

Presenting @AmmyVirk AMMY VIRK as BALVINDER SINGH SANDHU!!!👻
PS-this one is special to me as our Dil Da Raja Amrinder portrays the role of our beloved coach SANDHU SIR❤because of whom we have all become better cricketers🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/23IKixX5cg
The latest arrival is that of Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu, the medium-pacer who teamed up with Roger Binny to take crucial wickets through the tournament. Sandhu is also one of the coaches who has helped the reel cricketers hone their skills for their roles on screen.
Virk looks the part as he imitates Sandhu's famous wicket-taking celebrations. The bowler was a key player in the 1983 World Cup, scoring 22 runs while batting in the lower order alongside Kirmani. This key partnership helped take the Indian team total to 183. Sandhu later swung the team's fortunes by bowling dangerous West Indian opener, Gordon Greenidge, with a huge inswinger.
83 is directed by Kabir Khan and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films, and Reliance Entertainment. The film is set for release on 10 April.
