Meanwhile, the collection of the Deepika Padukone-starrer Chhapaak slipped under the Rs1 crore mark for the first time yesterday.

Navjot Gulati’s Jai Mummy Di was released yesterday to a disastrous response, making hardly any collection at the domestic box office. As per reports, the film starring Sunny Singh Nijjar and Sonnalli Seygall collected less than Rs50 lakh nett on its opening day.
With no competition in sight, the Ajay Devgn-starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is set to reap the benefit. The Om Raut-directed film made a good Rs9.50 crore nett on its second Friday yesterday.
Based on the life of Maratha general Tanaji Malusare, the film had a good first week with a total collection of Rs116 crore nett at the domestic box office. The film's grand total now stands at Rs125.50 crore nett.
Given that the film was made on a big budget of Rs150 crore, it still has some way to go before it can be considered a safe bet. But going by the positive buzz around the film and the lack of competition at the box office, this does not seem to be difficult anymore.
Next Friday will see the release of two prominent films in the form of the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Panga and Street Dancer 3D starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. Both films are expected to make an impact on Tanhaji.
Meanwhile, the daily collection of the Deepika Padukone-starrer Chhapaak slipped under the Rs1 crore mark for the first time yesterday. The film's collection on its second Friday was a poor Rs75 lakh nett. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film has so far made a total collection of just Rs26.50 crore nett at the domestic box office, against an estimated cost of Rs35 crore.
