Kids are generally thought of as innocent. So when they start behaving in a mysterious and scary manner, it is far more frightening. This is exactly how one feels when watching the teaser for the Subodh Bhave-starrer Bhaybheet.

Directed by Dinesh Naidu, the film tells the story of a man (Bhave) staying with his daughter Shreya (Mrunal Jadhav). His wife has passed away. But his daughter claims that she is still with them. This, coupled with some mysterious happenings, begins to frighten the man.

Then one day, Shreya claims that a man named Raghav is also staying with them. Now Raghav is someone whom Bhave’s character cannot see. His problems just seem to be multiplying.

It is certainly not easy to scare people and the teaser for Bhaybheet passes that test. Mrunal Jadhav’s casting is perfect and the manner in which she says mysterious things is certainly frightening. Mrunal has already proved her acting skills in films like Drishyam (2015).

Unlike some horror movies made by mainstream Hindi cinema in recent years, there are no forced jump-scare moments here. The horror is organic with only the sound of thunder doing the trick.

Bhave also gets good scope here. He succeeds in expressing his fear with subtlety.

Also starring Poorva Gokhale and Madhu Sharma, Bhaybheet will be released on 28 February. Watch the teaser below and let us know if you would be watching the film.
