If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, actor Dulquer Salmaan and actress Kajal Aggarwal are set to team up for a new yet-untitled Tamil project.
It is learnt that Aggarwal has hinted about teaming up with Dulquer in a recent media interaction. She’s believed to have said that she has a project with Dulquer in the pipeline but didn’t reveal more information.
It is yet unknown who will direct this project which is yet to be officially announced.
On the career front, Aggarwal will begin shooting for Indian 2 from January. Talking to the newspaper Times of India, she had said: “I’ll start shooting for Indian 2 from January. Though the team has already started filming, this is the first time I’ll be joining them for my portions. I’m looking forward to working with them all.”
Aggarwal also has Tamil remake of Kangana Ranaut’s Queen (2014) awaiting release. Titled Paris Paris, the film has been directed by actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind.
She also has a Hollywood project in the pipeline. An Indo-American collaborative production, the film will star Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu in the lead.
Recently, it was announced that Aggarwal will be immortalised as wax statue at Madame Tussauds Singapore. The wax statue will be unveiled on February 5, 2020. She will be present to introduce her figure to the world.
Dulquer, on the other hand, is currently busy shooting for Malayalam film Kurup (2020), based on Sukumara Kurup, a family man who, after reading a crime involving embezzlement of insurance money in Germany, got motivated to insure and script his own death by murdering a man, Chacko, to lay his hands on the money.
It’s been over three decades since the heinous incident and Sukumara is still at large. Dulquer will be seen playing Kurup in the film, which will reunite him with director Srinath after seven years for the second time. They had previously worked together in Second Show (2012).
