Sidharth Malhotra might have had an average 2019, but his 2020 is off to a good start. The actor takes centrestage as captain Vikram Batra in the latest posters for Shershaah, the biopic on the Kargil war hero.
The title refers to the codename by which captain Batra was known while stationed at the operations in Kargil. Directed by Vishnu Varathan, the film is set to release in theatres on 3 July 2020.
An absolute honor to be able to paint the big screen with the shades of bravery & sacrifice.

The three posters capture three different expressions for the character as he stands in the fray of battle. Captain Vikram Batra was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest award for bravery in service, for his achievements during the Kargil war.
In a quote to news agency IANS in December 2019, the actor had said, "If it is a story which will become a passion project then (he will produce the film), not from a commercial aspect... a story which I feel has to be made and should be made. It will be great to create content and tell stories which I believe in."
Backed by Karan Johar's Dharma productions, the film will also feature Kiara Advani as the female lead opposite Sidharth Malhotra.
