Not many people might remember Karan Nath. The actor starred in films like Ye Dil Aashiqanaa (2002) and LOC Kargil (2003). His last big screen appearance was in Tera Kya Hoga Johnny (2010) which never had an official release in theater. Now Karan Nath is making a comeback on a big screen after a decade with Guns Of Banaras (2020).
In the first poster of his upcoming film, Karan Nath is seen in an angry young man mode, playing the role of Guddu Shukla. We also see banks of the river Ganga in the background with the first half of the title written in blood red.
Guns Of Banaras is directed by Shekkhar Suri and has been in the making since 2013. There are speculations that the film is based on superhit Tamil film Polladhavan (2007).
According to some reports in 2013, the film had a cast of Vinod Khanna, Zarina Wahab, and Shilpa Shirodkar. Besides Shirodkar, it is not yet known whether the makers have retained the same cast.
Nath's father, Rikku Rakesh Nath, had been actress Madhuri Dixit's manager for many years. He also produced films like Dil Tera Aashiq (1993), Mohabbat (1997), and Gaja Gamini (2000) which all starred Dixit.
