Fox Star Studios has moved the Delhi high court to contest a lower court's decision to credit advocate Aparna Bhat for her contribution to the Meghna Gulzar film Chhapaak.
Bhat had appealed for, and received, credit for her contribution as a consultant and adviser on the script for the Deepika Padukone-starrer.

In a long social media post, Aparna Bhat had said, "Have never been the one to demand attention to my work. Deeply disturbed by the turn of events post (sic) watching Chhapaak. Compelled to take legal action to protect my identity and preserve my integrity. I represented Lakshmi in her criminal trial in Patiala House Courts... tomorrow someone will represent me in my cause... Ironies of life”.
A civil judge had directed the makers to include Bhat's name in the credits.
