RIFF 2020: Tannishtha Chatterjee’s Roam Rome Mein, Rahat Kazmi's Lihaaf to be screened

 Actresses Zareen Khan, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Anushka Sen will be present at the festival that will be held from 18 - 22 January in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Tannishtha Chatterjee's directorial debut Roam Rome Mein starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rahat Kazmi’s Lihaaf based on Ismat Chughtai's story are headed to Jaipur.

The sixth edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) will be organised from 18 - 22 January at the Jawahar Kala Kendra and Cinepolis, Jaipur. This year, the festival will celebrate its fifth anniversary and 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi. 

Other feature films selected for the festival include Hum Bhi Akela, Tum Bhi Akela by Harish Vyas which will have its India premiere at the festival, and In The Land of Poison Women by Manju Borah, amongst others. The short films include Maid For Us by Disha Mundra, Pearl - A Girl Around You by Hemant Bhati, Mein Vrinda by Tanmay Singh, Bohubritta by Utpal Datta, #Jaipur Activists by Eshan Harsh and Kalamkhush by Himanshu Vyas.

Amongst the international films, the Korean film My Turn by Nakyung Kim, Lucia Barata’s Portuguese documentary short Dancing Wheels, and Kathaah@8 from Singapore by filmmaker Shilpa Krishnan Shukla will be screened. Apart from this, there will be a special screening of the Korean documentary film My Love Don't Cross that River. Actresses Zareen Khan, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Anushka Sen will be present at the festival. 

Sharing details about the festival, founders Somendra and Anshu Harsh said in a press release, "RIFF's inauguration ceremony will be held on 18 January at 5 pm at the Open Theater, Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur and finally on 22 January, the award ceremony will be held at the [same venue], in which best films and artists will be honored."

"The films screening, seminars, workshops, talk shows and knowledge series will be held at Cinepolis at JLN Marg. Features and short films awarded at various film festivals of India and abroad, music vdeo albums, documentary films, animation films and regional films will be screened. RIFF has been given official recognition from the Federation of Film Society of India (FFSI)," they added.
