The trailer of the Marathi movie Daah: Ek Marmsparshi Katha showed that the film has an important love track between the characters of Sayali Sanjeev and Suhrud Wardekar. So, it is obvious that the film would have at least one romantic song.

‘Prem He’, which features both actors, is a soothing romantic track that establishes the deep love Sayali and Wardekar’s characters have for each other.

The song has old world charm written all over it, not in a bad way. The track takes us back in time when simple romantic songs were the flavour. We have Sayali and Wardekar’s characters dancing in green fields and literally running around trees. Their chemistry appears positive.

Singers Bela Shende and Swapnil Bandodkar use the full range of their vocals and that adds to the romantic feeling of the number. Their choice is apt for this kind of a song. Mandar Cholkar’s lyrics also have the old world innocence that isn’t quite visible in today’s times. Composer duo Praful-Swapnil have used simple tunes, which was exactly the need here.

Directed by Malhar Ganesh, Daah also stars Girish Oak, Radhika Vidyasagar and Yatin Karyekar. Going by its trailer, the film is a romantic saga and also a social drama.

Daah is all set to release on Valentine’s Day on 14 February. Watch the song and let us know if you would be watching the movie:
