Diljit Dosanjh, Manoj Bajpayee shoot for Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari at Mumbai's CSMT station 

Abhishek Sharma’s The Zoya Factor (2019) might have been one of the biggest flops of last year, but the director is now all set to present his next titled Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari (2020). The film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Manoj Bajpayee, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Rohit Roy. 

The first still from the film features only Dosanjh and Bajpayee from the main cast. It's a still from the film's pre-climax portion shot at Mumbai's iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). 

Speaking about the shoot, Sharma said in an official statement, "There’s a pre-climax scene in the film that required a railway station. Usually filmmakers like to shoot in controlled environment, perhaps on a created set, but it felt inauthentic. The film is set in 1990s and Victoria Terminus [the station's old name] was just the perfect place to shoot. We took necessary permissions from the Central Railways for the shoot who were extremely forthcoming and helpful. Yes, this was more expensive but the venue lends itself to a better atmospheric experience in the scene."

Shooting inside a real train brought the inner kid out of the unit, added Sharma. "The engine drivers were so precise and professional. We shot for two days from 7 am to 7 pm. We all were so excited like young kids that we took turns to check out the engine and blow the train’s horn. We set camp close by at the parking area but during our break, we climbed up and ate our meals inside the train compartment because going to vanities was taking 15-20 minutes."

While the story of the film is not known yet, the still released from the film makes it ample clear that the film is a light-hearted drama. This is the first time that Dosanjh, Bajpayee, Shaikh and Roy are working with each other. 

Sharma debuted with the highly acclaimed Tere Bin Laden (2010). He followed it up with The Shaukeens (2014), Tere Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive (2016), Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran (2018) and The Zoya Factor.
