Netflix has unveiled a new original Indian web-series for the upcoming Valentine's Day. The series, Taj Mahal 1989, will feature Neeraj Kabi, Geetanjali Kulkarni, as well as Danish Hussain and Sheeba Chaddha.
The series set in Lucknow will trace the romantic lives of two professors with an old-world charm, while exploring the complicated nature of relationships.

The series is backed by Tipping Point, the digital arm of Viacom18, which also backed the recent Netflix series, Jamtara: Sabka Number Aayega. Tipping Point is also backing the upcoming web-series, She, an investigative procedural dealing with an undercover cop breaking stereotypes while bringing down a drug cartel.
Taj Mahal 1989 will be written and directed by Pushpendra Nath Mishra. Mishra is also the director of Ghoomketu, which also features Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which remains unreleased.
