Web-series Pawan & Pooja with Mahesh Manjrekar, Deepti Naval, Sharman Joshi, Gul Panag out on Valentine’s Day

A new MX Player web-series, Pawan & Pooja, starring Mahesh Manjrekar, Deepti Naval, Sharman Joshi and Gul Panag, will begin streaming online from 14 February.

The drama will follow the lives of three couples, all named Pawan and Pooja, who experience love at different stages of their lives. Young stars Taaruk Raina and Natasha Bharadwaj are also part of the web-series co-created by Siddharth P Malhotra and Shaad Ali. Malhotra, the director of Rani Mukerji's Hichki (2018), had previously produced the web-series Kaafir for Zee5.

In a press release, Malhotra stated, “I have always been driven by experimentation. I believe it allows us to innovate and learn while we deliver what viewers want. Pawan & Pooja started off with the same thought. We wanted to explore how love changes as we age. Having a team that is aligned and wants to create quality content helps in building the right foundation which shines through in the final product.”

Manjrekar, who is one of the stars of the show, added, “Pawan & Pooja discovers new aspects of love. It taps into the typical problems faced in today’s fast-paced life. Working with people like Deepti Naval and Siddharth Malhotra is always a delight because they understand the craft and the script is their topmost priority.”
