Anindya Chatterjee to introduce fresh faces in Prem Tame

The upcoming film will be a love triangle with three college students.

Filmmaker, singer and songwriter, Anindya Chatterjee's upcoming Prem Tame (2020), a love triangle with three college students, will launch fresh faces in the film. The maker of Open Tee Bioscope (2015), Projapoti Biskut (2017) and Manojder Adbhut Bari (2018) is yet to announce the names.

Music director Shantanu Moitra will be composing music of the film, along with lyricist Prasen. The background score of the film will be done by Prabuddha Banerjee, known for his works in Nagarkirtan (2019), Konttho (2019) and many other films.

In an interview with the newspaper Times of India, Chatterjee said, “We have not locked the cast yet and the team is still working on it. I like working with new actors and actresses. It is a different kind of challenge. Since it is a love story, we will start shooting around Valentine’s Day.”

The film will be mostly shot in cities of Chandannagar, Serampore, and other adjacent places. The director further added, “I have planned to showcase the colonial settlement. My DOP [director of photography], Subhankar Bhar, is from Serampore and hence, his inputs are helping us a lot. I am working with him for the first time and I am really enjoying it.”

Chatterjee previously worked with a bunch of young actors, including Riddhi Sen, Rwitobroto Mukherjee, Dhee Majumdar, Surangana Bandopadhyay in Open Tee Bioscope and Ishaa Saha and Aditya Sengupta in Projapoti Biskut, for the first time.  This time, he is again planning to introduce a few new talents to the industry.

Prem Tame is expected to release this summer.
