After several delays, Dharma Productions’ Brahmastra (2020) will finally make its way to theatres on 4 December. It’s the last delay of the film, according to the director and its stars, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.

Bhatt shared a video of the four of them making the announcement on Instagram to her followers. The fantasy film, which was due to be released on Independence Day in 2019, was moved later to Christmas 2019, and then pushed to summer 2020. This is the fourth change in the film's release date.

Kapoor and Mukerji have a mock argument about when the film is finally going to be released. “My parents are asking me when the film will come out,” Kapoor says. "They are wondering if I’m really acting in the film, or just playing football and running after the girl [referring to girlfriend Alia Bhatt]."

When Mukerji finally states 4 December will be the film’s release date and Bachchan eventually shows an interest in the proceedings, Kapoor deadpans, “What year?” The hilarious video also has a fun reference to Bachchan’s hosting skills on Kaun Banega Crorepati.

The video ends with Kapoor and Bhatt warning Mukerji not to change the date again. Produced by Karan Johar, the film also stars Mouni Roy as the antagonist.
