Baaghi 3 song 'Do You Love Me': Disha Patani sizzles in Hindi remake of Rene Bendali hit

The song, which is based on a Lebanese track of the same name, has been sung by Nikhita Gandhi.

Lebanon's music industry had better beware. With Indian composers starting to question the T-Series remix industry, the music giant has turned to Lebanese music with 'Do You Love Me' from Baaghi 3 (2020).

The song is based on a track of the same name by Rene Bendali and has been sung by Nikhita Gandhi.

The song has been picturized on Disha Patani, who follows up on her bikini avatar in Malang (2020) with another similar appearance.

The actress does dance better than she acts, but the choreography is greatly down to the music. Patani plays a dancer in the villain's den while Tiger Shroff is on the hunt for the killer. If that seems like a plot from a 1980s Hindi masala film, you are right.

The composition is a lot more interesting and impressively hyped up. The beats, rhythm and structure of the song capture the Arabic feel while adding an EDM heavy synth to it.

The song really kicks off with the opening beats, which act as a signature. Whether the lyrics catch up or not, the song's beats will certainly be played around with by DJs at parties to come.

Based on the 1970s song of the same name by the Bendali family, the track is a far cry from what is known to Indian music. But that is a refreshing change. The original has a whimsical Arabic-English mix, which feels like a throwback to a different time. The modern composition is fast-paced, thumping and has an energy that can only work in a masala entertainer.

Nikhita Gandhi does a great job with her voice, but her vocals are overshadowed by Patani's gyrations. Shroff looks just as a 1980s hero should — cold, distant and forever lost.

Baaghi 3, directed by Ahmed Khan, is set for release in theatres on 6 March. Watch the 'Do You Love Me' song and the Lebanese original below, and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
