Kesari song ‘Pailwan Ala Ho’: Gives voice to a wrestler's angst in rap

Composed by Saket Kanetkar, the song has been written and sung by Yugg Bhaawa.

The new song from the film Kesari, ‘Pailwan Ala Ho,’ is a quintessential rap number, which has been shot with interesting visuals. It kicks off with an electronic guitar riff, which instantly hooks you in. Music director Saket Kanetkar creates a contrast by following the riff with a dholki beat, thus creating a vibe with a mix of rustic and rock.

The song is sung and written by independent rapper Yugg Bhaawa, whose voice is a natural fit for this form. The singer exploits this fact in the song. The lyrics are powerful and inspirational.

The visuals of a wrestling competition complement the lyrics perfectly. The competition scenes look very realistic  and it is likely that some of them were shot from an actual wrestling competition.

Kesari tells the story of a wrestler, who dreams of becoming a Maharashtra Kesari, and his struggle to reach his goal. The film, which has been directed by Sujay Dahake, wll release on 28 February.
