Last year, Milind Gunaji played Dattaji Shinde in Ashutosh Gowariker’s historical drama Panipat (2019). The actor is now making a comeback in mainstream Marathi cinema with Gosht Eka Paithanichi (2020).
According to the makers, Gunaji plays an important character in the film called Inamdar. He is someone who loves his wife dearly, is family-oriented, and always obeys her commands.
An official press release sent by the makers also states that the producers were stunned by Gunaji’s professionalism. They said that the actor asked for the script of the film and then went to Bangkok, Thailand to shoot another film. By the time he returned, he had memorized all his dialogues for Gosht Eka Paithanichi.
The film is directed by Shantanu Rode and produced under Akshay Bardapurkar’s banner Planet Marathi. “Gunaji perfectly suits the character of Inamdar. He has given justice to the film through his voice, height and acting. At the same time, his dedication is also motivational,” said Bardapurkar in an official statement.
Last year, Gunaji was also seen in the international film, The Warrior Queen Of Jhansi (2019) where he played Gangadhar Rao.
Gosht Eka Paithanichi stars Sayali Sanjeev in the lead along with Suvrat Joshi. The release date is yet to be announced.
