The song has vibrant, foot-tapping music by Soumil-Siddharth and has been performed with verve by Siddharth, Yash Narvekar and Gautami Deshpande, but the lyrics are a letdown.

Wedding songs seem to be in vogue in Marathi cinema. We saw 'Julali Gaath Ga' from Makeup (2020) and 'Dadacha Lagin' from Vikun Taak (2020). Now comes a song from Mann Fakiraa which is about a wedding.
'Ghari Gondhal' captures the euphoric atmosphere among family members who are busy decorating the house to welcome newlywed couple Bhushan (Suvrat Joshi) and Riya (Sayali Sanjeev).
The song, composed by Soumil Shrirangpure and Siddharth Mahadevan, has a vibrant, foot-tapping energy, especially because of the way it has been picturized. The melody grows on you as you listen to the song a few times. The song is heavy on the use of drums, and the tempo gets faster towards the end.
Yash Narvekar and Gautami Deshpande accompany Siddharth Mahadevan in the singing department and all three have done a good job.
But for a song to be really good, all three departments — music, singing and lyrics — should be in synch. Unfortunately, this is where 'Ghari Gondhal' falters. Kshitij Patwardhan’s lyrics are not quite in keeping with the tempo of the song. You can sense the singers making adjustments as they go along to make up for the off-note lyrics.
Mann Fakiraa marks the directorial debut of popular actress Mrunmayee Deshpande. The film is slated for release on 6 March. Watch the 'Ghari Gondhal' song below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
