Baaghi 3 song ‘Bhankas’: Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor show off their dance moves in this Tanishk Bagchi recreation

Composer Bappi Lahiri seems to be the flavour of the season for recent film soundtracks. This week's release, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020), features a reboot of Lahiri's 'Yaar Bina Chayn Kahan Re' from Saaheb (1985).

Now Tanishk Bagchi takes his song 'Ek Ankh Marun To' from Tohfa (1984) and recreates it into 'Bhankas' for Baaghi 3 (2020), starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor.  

Set at a wedding for the characters of Riteish Deshmukh and Ankita Lokhande, the duet is sung by Dev Negi, Jonita Gandhi and Lahiri. Bagchi has also sampled in original singer Asha Bhosle to say the title 'Bhankas' at various moments.

The over-energetic picturization is focused on Shroff and Kapoor, both of who are excellent dancers. Kapoor, in particular, seems to overdo her facial expressions in the number.

The recreation is fairly decent, and the original composition and lyrics by Indivar are woven in well. Shabbir Ahmed provides the additional new lyrics for the track.

Negi and Gandhi provide the right energy for the track as their vocals suit the party number. Like the film's previous song 'Dus Bahane 2.0', this next song too has taken inspiration from the past.
