Mann Fakiraa is the directorial debut of actress Mrunmanyee Godbole. The teaser for the film, which was released a week ago, had already hinted that it deals with the subject of relationships and how things get complicated among newly married couples when they reveal their past.
The trailer starts with Bhushan (Suvrat Joshi) admitting his relationship with Mahi (Anjali Patil) before his wife Riya (Sayali Sanjeev). He is still confused about his feelings towards both women. On the one hand, he admits that he still loves Mahi, but on the other he says he has grown fond of Riya.
Things get more complicated when Riya tells Bhushan about her relationship before their marriage with Nachiket (Ankit Mohan). But the real problem starts when Mahi comes back in Bhushan's life.
One thing the trailer promises is good performances by all the artistes. Suvrat Joshi looks the most promising, probably because he also gets the most amount of screen time in the trailer. Anjali Patil will be seen in Marathi cinema after a gap of three years. Her previous Marathi project was The Silence (2017). From the trailer, it appears that the film has been shot mostly in Europe.
The trailer is smartly edited and gives little away about the plot even though it is two and a half minutes long. Mann Fakiraa was earlier scheduled for release on Valentine's Day but was then postponed to avoid a clash with another Sayali Sanjeev film, Daah: Ek Marmasparshi Katha.
Mann Fakiraa is now slated for release on 6 March. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch this film.
