Model-turned-actress Aditi Arya, who won the title of Femina Miss India World in 2015, is all set to make her Hindi film debut with Kabir Khan's 83 (2020). Arya joined films a year after winning the beauty title with the Telugu film Ism (2016).

The young actress was excited about her upcoming film which tells the story of India's first cricket World Cup win in 1983. She reportedly plays Inderjit Amarnath, wife of star cricketer Mohinder Amarnath, played by Saqib Saleem.

"I wanted to be a part of this film as it marked such a proud historic moment for India," she said. "I feel privileged that so early in my career I got a chance to work with the people I really wanted to, that is director Kabir Khan. I hope each experience I have with different filmmakers enriches me further and adds to my personal bounty of experiences."

The film's ensemble cast features actor Ranveer Singh as captain Kapil Dev, actress Deepika Padukone as his wife Romi, and actors Pankaj Tripathi and Boman Irani playing key personalities who were instrumental in India's win.

Arya has also acted in other Southern films like the Telugu-Tamil bilingual Seven (2019) and the Kannada film Kurukshetra (2019). She has also appeared in lead roles for the Hindi web-series Tantra, produced by Vikram Bhatt, and Spotlight 2 for VIU.

83 is due to be released on 10 April. Aditi Arya also has the Telugu film Ninnu Vadili Nenu Polenule lined up for release later this year.
