"Khavanu, pivanu, majja ni life! [Eat, drink and be merry]" The ebullient Parsi motto is echoed in the Maska song, a first look at the upcoming Netflix original starring Manisha Koirala, Shirley Setia, Prit Kamani, and Nikita Dutta, which is due to be released this March. Setia and Kamani play two young Parsis, Persis and Rumi, who seem to grow closer as Rumi shows Persis, a photographer, around the city.
The official synopsis of the Netflix film, directed by Neeraj Udhwani, states, "Believing in the adage ‘Success comes to those who dare to dream', a confused, young millennial sets out on a desperate journey to fulfil his fantasy of becoming a movie star until a summer romance with a clear-headed girl helps him discover the fine line between dreams and delusions."
The teaser song shows Persis and Rumi celebrating an event where they both seem to win a grand prize. We see Rumi setting out on his auditions, and escorting Persis around the city, with breaks for bun maska in between. The focus remains on the two youngsters in this lively song. Koirala and Dutta who are also part of the film have not been shown as yet.
Kamani made his debut last year in Rajshri Productions' Hum Chaar (2019), while Setia is also signed on for Sabir Khan's Nikamma (2020) with Abhimanyu Dassani and Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
