Actress Sayani Gupta turns producer with Karma Takapa's Where The Wind Blows. The actress is co-producer of the film with Human Trial Pictures. Where The Wind Blows is about a one-woman expedition in the Himalayas. It features Gupta as the lone protagonist.
The story follows the journey of a young woman, who sets off on a trek to an unknown Himalayan mountain. The film was shot over a period of 26 days with a seven-member crew.
In a statement quoted by IndianExpress.com, Gupta said, "This film is very close to my heart. Shooting for it was no less than a roller coaster ride. Though the shoot was difficult, the experience was one of the most memorable one of my life. I had the best time shooting with Karma and team."
Takapa last directed the acclaimed Ralang Road (2017), which was the official selection for the 52nd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (2017). His earlier film, Mor Mann Ke Bharam (2015) won the Special Jury award for direction at the 17th MAMI Mumbai film festival (2015).
Gupta, who was last seen in Article 15 (2019), was also part of the popular Amazon Original series, Four More Shots Please! and Inside Edge.
