Vicky Kaushal's first tryst in horror has been receiving a lot of traction on the internet. All the promotional material of Bhoot: The Haunted Ship has so far focused mainly on Kaushal, including the trailer. We finally get to see a little more of Bhumi Pednekar's character in the 'Channa Ve' song.

The song shares some of the happy moments Kaushal's character spends with his family. It starts with Pednekar and Kaushal eloping and getting married. The couple, who is madly in love, is soon blessed with a beautiful daughter. But one accident changes everything and Kaushal loses his family forever.

The song evokes both a happy and melancholic mood. It has been written, composed and sung by Akhil Sachdeva, who excels in each department. As for the singing, it is the duet which gives Sachdeva a better scope to display his vocal prowess, and he does not disappoint. His voice brings out the mood of the song perfectly. He is ably supported by Mansheel Gujral.

The song makes heavy use of the guitar. In fact, it would not be wrong to say that the guitar is the third voice in the song. Sachdeva's lyrics match the song's mood perfectly.

Bhoot - The Haunted Ship is directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh and has Kaushal in the lead. Pednekar has a special appearance. The film is due for release on 21 February.
