The title song of Mrunmayee Deshpande’s Mann Fakiraa has been released even before its teaser and trailer. But it’s a multi-purpose track whose visuals also work as a promo.

The song features two parallel love stories. One taking place between the characters of Sayali Sanjeev and Ankit Mohan and the other between Anjali Patil and Suvrat Joshi’s. The obvious journey of friendship transforming into love is seen with both couples. They hang out in the beautiful city of London, England where quite a few Marathi films have been shot in recent years.

As far as the visuals are concerned, one can notice a gradual and smart journey of the characters and their story. Seeing Joshi’s character mingling with Sayali’s comes as a surprise. It is difficult to say if they are just friends or more.

Singers Siddharth Mahadevan (son of Shankar Mahadevan) and Yashita Sharma’s voices have the right combination of romance and adventure. The continuous use of the guitar tune by composer duo Soumil-Siddharth [Mahadevan] is pleasing to the ear. Vaibhav Joshi’s lyrics can strike a chord with the youth.

Mann Fakiraa is Mrunmayee Deshpande’s first film as a writer and director. She has been acting for more than a decade.

The film is due to be released on 6 March. Watch the song below and let us know if you would be watching the film:
