Irrfan Khan sent out a sweet voice message even as the team of Angrezi Medium was in the midst of preparations for the film's trailer launch on 13 February.

The actor, who was suffering from a cancer caused by a neuroendocrine tumour, plays a key role in the Homi Adajania film alongside Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, Ranvir Shorey and Dimple Kapadia.

The film is slated for release on 20 March. Its first poster was released today.

In the message posted by Adajania, Khan said, "Today, I am with you, and also not. This film, Angrezi Medium, is special to me. Believe me, I wanted to promote this film with as much love as we made it with. But there are some unwanted guests sitting in my body with whom I am having a conversation. Let's see where the tide turns. As and when something happens, I will let you know."

In his inimitable style, Khan goes on to say, "The saying goes that when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. It is nice to say but when life really hands you lemons, it becomes very difficult to make lemonade. But what choice do you have except to be positive? Whether you are able to make lemonade in life or not is up to you."

Speaking of the film, the actor said, "All of us have made this film with the same positivity. I believe this film will teach you, make you laugh, make you cry, and then, maybe, make you laugh again."  For fans waiting eagerly to watch him in action, Khan said, "Enjoy the trailer and watch the film. And yes... wait for me!"

The National award-winning actor was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour back in 2018, while shooting for Karwaan (2018). He immediately moved to the United Kingdom to undergo treatment. Since his diagnosis, the actor has avoided the media. It is a relief to hear him speak, and so positively at that.

Khan returned to shoot for Angrezi Medium in April 2019. The film is a follow up to the 2017 hit, Hindi Medium.
