The song 'Aye Dekhe Jaa' from Pratim D Gupta’s upcoming film Love Aaj Kal Porshu comes with a new sound. The essence of the lyrics by Prasen is about moving on in life and its eternal journey, and has been complemented by Arindom’s fast-paced composition that also signifies progression.
Arijit Singh’s apt rendition adds volumes to the challenges described in the lyrics of the song picturized on Arjun Chakraborty and Madhumita Sarkar. In the visuals, the lead pair are seen escaping a trap set for them. As they go ahead with their journey without so much as a backward glance, the song, too, does not have much repetition of lines.
In the film, Paoli Dam plays Kalki Maitra, supposed to be a negative character, who sets a trap for the lovers but sees the situation go out of hand as the lovers get a new lease of life.
As the lyrics recognize the hardships of life but speak of a determination that refuses to bow to challenges, we can see the lovers on screen overcoming every hurdle in their path and going ahead with their journey.
Arijit Singh’s rendition captures the spirit of determination with a different kind of voice modulation that infuses a youthful energy in the song. Though the song has been visualized on the journey of two lovers, it is primarily a celebration of life.
Love Aaj Kal Porshu is slated for release on 14 February. Watch the 'Aye Dekhe Jaa' song below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
