The COVID-19 pandemic has become a management nightmare for organisers of film festivals across the globe with many opting to cancel this year's edition or hold virtual screenings of the nominated films.

Surprisingly, the Literature, Illusion, Film, Frame, Television & Theatre (LIFFT) India has decided to skip both the physical as well as virtual screening of films for this year's edition. Instead, the festival will directly announce the list of winners online on 25 December, as per the latest announcement on the LIFFT's official website.

The website also mentions that the list of nominees will be announced on 15 December. There is also a list of all the entries the festival has received until now.

This will be the fourth edition of the festival, which was started in 2017. The previous editions were held at Lonavla, a hill station near Mumbai. Apart from films, the festival also showcased paintings, short plays, books, dance performances and music.

In the last year's edition, Deepak Dobriyal's debut Marathi film Baba (2019) had bagged the Best Feature Film, Best Director and Best Actor Awards.
