Akshay Kumar joins Sara Ali Khan on Atrangi Re set

Akshay Kumar's consistency when it comes to finishing shoots, pandemic or no, never fails to impress. The actor has now joined Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush on the sets of Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re.

The actor also shared a still from the film, which features himself and the actress, who began shooting for the film alongside Dhanush after the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted in October. 

While Akshay Kumar is dressed in chic urban attire in the still, Khan seems to be playing a more rustic character. 

Khan took to Instagram to welcome her co-star, writing, "AtrangiRe becomes more Rangeen! Akshay Kumar so privileged, excited and thankful to be working with you! (sic)"

Akshay Kumar has already finished shooting for Bell Bottom, and is set to begin shooting for Bachchan Pandey in January. The actor also announced his next film, Ram Setu, for which he recently acquired permission to shoot in Ayodhya. 

Atrangi Re was announced back in January this year. However, the pandemic breakout in March ensured that the film did not go on the floors till October. 

The film will be Dhanush's third venture in Hindi cinema since Raanjhanaa (2013) with Aanand L Rai. The film will also feature music by AR Rahman.
