Coronavirus update: Actors Ram Charan, Varun Tej test positive for COVID-19

Actors Ram Charan and Varun Tej have revealed that they have tested positive for the coronavirus. Both artistes have added that they have quarantined themselves at home and are taking all the necessary precautions.

Ram Charan, who is asymptomatic, took to Twitter on Tuesday to write, "I have tested positive for COVID-19. No symptoms and quarantined at home. Hope to heal soon and come out stronger." 

He also requested everyone who had met him recently to get themselves tested.

Varun also posted on the micro-blogging site, saying, “Earlier today I tested positive for Covid 19 with mild symptoms. I am currently quarantined at home taking necessary precautions. I’ll be back soon. Thank you for all your love (sic).”

Varun had recently travelled to Udaipur with his family for his sister Niharika Konidela’s wedding. It’s interesting to note that Varun’s cousin Ram Charan was also present at the wedding along with other family members including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Sai Dharam Tej and Allu Arjun. 

On the career front, Varun Tej will be seen in a yet-untitled boxing-based Telugu film soon. He had revealed that he would shed a lot of weight for the role.
