Filmmaker and producer Aanand L Rai is the latest film personality to test positive for COVID-19. He shared the news moments back on his official Twitter account.
“I have tested COVID-19 positive today. Just wanted to inform everyone that I don’t feel any symptoms and I feel fine. I’m quarantining as instructed by [the] authorities. Anyone who has come in contact with me recently is advised to quarantine and follow the government protocols. Thank you for [your] support,” he said.

Rai wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming directorial venture Atrangi Re (2021) earlier this week on Monday. The cast and the unit of the film celebrated the occasion through a party on the following day. It was attended by Rai, the film’s leads Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan and the rest of the unit.

Surprisingly, the pictures from the bash show that nobody was either wearing a mask or maintaining social distancing. This means that those who attended the party are also at risk now.
Atrangi Re also stars Akshay Kumar but he wasn’t present at the party.
