Angira Dhar joins Ajay Devgn’s Mayday

Angira Dhar is the latest actress to join the cast of Ajay Devgn’s Mayday (2021) after Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. Dhar plays a lawyer in the upcoming thriller-drama.

Dhar shared her excitement online as her casting announcement was made public. She wrote, “PINCH ME... coz I can hardly believe this! Thrilled be a part of this incredible crew of Mayday sharing screen with Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn is going to be a dream fulfilled!(sic)"

Mayday, which is directed by Devgn, sees the actor also play the lead role as a pilot. Singh plays his co-pilot in the feature, while Bachchan’s character hasn’t been revealed as yet.

Devgn has previously directed U Me Aur Hum (2008) and Shivaay (2016) and is also producing Mayday under his banner. Filming for the project is expected to begin later this month.

Dhar starred in the Netflix original Love Per Square Foot (2018) with Vicky Kaushal and was last seen on the big screen in Commando 3 (2019) starring Vidyut Jammwal.
