Veteran actor Rajinikanth was admitted to the Apollo Hospitals this morning in Hyderabad after his blood pressure fluctuated a lot. Rajinikanth is in Hyderabad to shoot for her next project Annaatthe. The shooting came to an abrupt halt earlier this week when eight members of the unit tested positive for COVID-19.
Rajinikanth himself had tested negative. 'Though he did not have any symptoms of COVID-19, his blood pressure showed severe fluctuations and needed further evaluation, for which he has been admitted to hospital,' said a statement from the Apollo management.
The statement also said Rajinikanth faces no other health issue. 'He will be investigated and monitored closely in the hospital till his blood pressure settles down before being discharged,' it said. 'Apart from fluctuating blood pressure and exhaustion he does not have any other symptoms and is hemodynamically stable.'
Earlier this month, Rajinikanth also announced that he will name his political party next month. His party is expected to contest the Tamil Nadu assembly elections due next year.
