Singh had started shooting for Ajay Devgn's third directorial venture, Mayday (2022). The film, which sees the actress play a pilot, went on the floors last week. The thriller also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Devgn himself.

In this month alone, quite a few figures from the Hindi film industry tested positive for COVID-19, starting with actor Sunny Deol, a member of Parliament who represents Punjab's Gurdaspur seat. Just a couple of days later, Varun Dhawan, Neetu Singh, and director Raj Mehta, all of whom were shooting for the film Jugjugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh, also tested positive for the coronavirus. A week later, Kriti Sanon, who was shooting with Rajkummar Rao and Dimple Kapadia in Chandigarh for newcomer director Abhishek Jain's untitled film, also tested positive for the virus.
