The film will be directed by Anubhuti Kashyap who made her directorial debut with the Netflix anthology, Home Stories (2020), earlier this year. She also helmed the Amazon Prime web-series Afsos (2020).
Kashyap told the paper, "I am stepping on to my filmmaking journey with all my passion, and this project has me thrilled to be on set. I am looking forward to working with Junglee Pictures and the versatile and talented Ayushmann Khurrana."
This film will mark the third collaboration between Junglee Pictures and Khurrana. The actor was a part of Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), which co-starred Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon, and Badhaai Ho, both of which were huge hits.
Khurrana is currently completing his work for another romantic film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, which is set to be released next year.
